The House
The Exton House Hotel nestles into the peaceful Brendon Hills of Exmoor which surround the beautiful Exe valley. Built in 1871 as the Rectory to the parish of Exton, its Victorian elegance and superb location are of immense appeal. The secluded gardens offer peace and relaxation, plus an opportunity to see a wide variety of birds and wildlife.
The Course
We will focus on seven symphonies, by various of the great composers: Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Mahler, Nielsen, Prokofiev, and another to be chosen by ‘the audience’. The weekend will end with breakfast on Monday, but it will also be possible to leave on Sunday evening at a slightly reduced rate. Music examples will be provided on excellent hi-fi equipment.
The weekend is designed as an informal ‘house party’. Guests need only the ability to enjoy music; no technical knowledge will be required.
Cost: £275.00, to include all meals, wine, aperitif, beverages, course fees and accommodation.
