In January 2008 an Arts in Residence
course was held at the Bartley
Lodge Hotel, in the New Forest.
"Heroes and Villains" looked at
two operas - Ernani and Eugene
Onegin - and sundry other works.

The Angel Hotel is located in the centre of the characterful Sussex market town of
Midhurst, situated in the beautiful South Downs countryside. The building has an elegant Georgian façade, which hides a much older building, a former 16th century coaching inn full of real warmth and character. |

The Old Rectory is a Georgian (1823) Grade II listed building set in two acres in the small country village of Tattingstone, five miles south of Ipswich. Sheafhayne Manor is a Grade II listed Elizabethan manor house, commanding superb views across the East Devon countryside.Originally a medieval hall, it later became the hunting lodge of Sir Francis Drake. The house has recently been extensively and lovingly refurbished, so that modern facilities (including mostly en suite accommodation) have been combined with the original features. The Tudor
panelling, flagstones, mullioned windows, old oak floorboards and doors remain in fine condition, and give the house a special atmosphere.

Stonebarrow Manor, parts of which date from the 16 th century, is set in two acres of garden and orchard,
on the South West Coastal Path, on the edge of the lovely Regency village of Charmouth. It is a perfect base for walking and the
coastline is part of a World Heritage Site. The whole area is one of outstanding natural beauty. |
