A group of thirty or so
music lovers attended
"Wagner's Ring cycle"
at the fabulous
Château Marouatte,
Périgord Blanc, France,
23 - 30th May 2009

The Castle

The castle has accommodation
to the highest modern
standards. It is situated
in beautiful countryside
near the market town
of Riberac.

The Course

The Course was conducted
by Terry Barfoot and
featured Wagnre's "Ring
Cycle.  Musical
illustrations were
provided on excellent
hi-fi equipment, and the
event was designed as
an informal ‘house party’.
Guests needed only the
ability to enjoy music;
no technical knowledge
was required.

Terry Barfoot writes
widely on music for
Britain’s leading journals,
orchestras, festivals and
record companies. He
lectures at Oxford and
other universities, and
is Publications Consultant
to the Bournemouth
Symphony Orchestra.
